Over August/September 2024 I finally had the opportunity to partake in the Nock Foundation New Zealand Residency. My residency was sponsored by The Nock Foundation and Defiance Gallery as part of my Paddington Art Prize win in 2022. For the period of 3 weeks, I worked with the company of artists Pam U'ren french and Elisabeth Cummings, based in the Nock Foundations studio 'Giverny', just out of Queenstown. The time allowed for an in depth immersion into a stunningly beautiful and complex landscape and the creation of a body of work in response.
